For years and years (centuries, yes) I saw this recipe in magazines, in my grandmother's old cookbooks, etc., and I thought "Ewwwwwwwwww." And then once my sister made it and I was HOOKED. I have actually craved this dish just seeing a picture of it.
It was super yum but would recommend doubling the ingredents and I didn't need quite so much flour but may have just been the soy cream I used was thicker. Thanks :)
I was looking specifically for a traditional green bean casserole dish that was vegan! So happy to see this! Trying it for Christmas day. It sounds great! Hurry with the cookbook! These recipes are EXACTLY what I've been looking for! Hearty, cheap, few ingredients, yummy and vegan! Thank you!
So delicious! I've made this recipe multiple times and everyone always loves it, just as good, if not better than the one with all of the canned ingredients!
This recipe is great but a great alternative to this recipe is to switch the green beans for fresh broccoli. We made it with steamed broccoli for thanksgiving and it was a huge hit. The vegan version went faster than the traditional campbels soup version.

This looks pretty good!
I'm intrigued by the french fried onions. I guess I've never seen those around before. I'll have to look out for them.
I think you can get the fried onions at Trader's Joe...quite cheap.
This recipe looks unbelievable by the way.
Peace
Mike
