I just want you to know that this website has inspired me to make the transition from vegetarian to vegan. I'm loving it, thanks so much for making me realize how easy it is! <3
I've never cooked with dried TVP. Do you know if it's basically the mother of what Morningstar "beef crumbles" are? http://veganonashoestring.blogspot.com
... hey! love, love, love your recipes! my roomate has recently joined the vegan side and he has lots of trouble finding recipes. I'm stoked to show him your blog!!! yum yum!
I have started eating vegetarian and you must be careful because most soy is GMO and so people have allergic reactions. Plus Vegetable protein is often extracted using HEXANE which is a neurotoxin. You have to make sure its organic soy to make sure. Look into it! Its a big dirty secret of the veg industry I think, theyre like oh you think youre gonna be healthier by replacing meat...hows this dangerous neuro-toxin! :(
I'm looking through your recipes having commented on the one I made, but this one looks scrumptious! Now I just printed this recipe and hopefully will make it this weekend! All of your recipes are so great! Thank you!
mmmm YUM! i made this tonight. so incredibly easy!!! i sauteed a clove of minced garlic with the onion, and used both BBQ sauce and hot sauce. i also used frozen corn because i like it better. and topped it with chunks of avocado. all i can say is THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i need easy recipes like this. :)
Thank you so much for another great recipe! We went camping this weekend, and this was the perfect dinner. It was easier, and even more flavorful, than the chili I've been making at home.

I don't know what that product is made of , but TVP can be used as a ground meat replacer.
You can usually find it in a bulk bin and it's often a lot cheaper than processed faux meats that come pre-seasoned.

I'm in love with your blog. You guys are totally awesome.
microwave a potato to add and it's more like a stew. Also use hot sauce instead of BBQ sauce for more of a Texas chile taste.

Just made this with Diana's BBQ sauce and it's a bit, i don't know, "tangier"? Give it a try!
